Meanwhile back at the Ranch--PFYT Behind the scenes

Meanwhile back at the Ranch--PFYT Behind the scenes

Posted by Tom on Jul 01, 2015

We took a little hiatus from posting blog content while a number of things have been going on behind the scenes at Plan for Your Tomorrow.   We took a little recovery time from tax season, and we are preparing our mid-year reviews.  Along the way, many things were happening.

  • We built out the notification infrastructure for our website, so that people can customize their content delivery, and receive customized updates from us via email, or social media.
  • We reviewed the Roadmap process, and evolved into a biannual roadmap, which seemed more reasonable based upon the practical considerations of getting projects coordinated with all of our stakeholders
  • We implemented a secure digital document storage system (which was pretty much the last item on our 2014 Road Map)
  • We came to the conclusion that we were going to need to make some changes to our performance reporting systems, and therefore we are preparing to migrate our Morningstar and Black Diamond relationships into a single source, which integration is under way and which will be announced later in the year.
  • We expanded our retirement plan consulting capabilities, and brought on-board a fiduciary management platform which enables us to help plan sponsors even more.
  • Brought on an enhanced financial planning platform, rolling out this summer.

Now, we are back to our usual communication routine.  We have a bunch of articles coming, including a few follow-ups from some pieces we already wrote, and a series of articles on risk and risk perception.

Additionally, we will be reaching out to everyone to do some mid-year reviews. We look forward to catching up!
